We are honored to have received an Excellence in Construction Award for The Lofts at Dallas Mill project at the Associated Builders and Contractors of North Alabama 20th annual Excellence in Construction Awards.

Located at the former site of the Dallas Mill cotton textile plant in Huntsville, AL, the Lofts at Dallas Mill is a new, multi-family development containing 148-apartment units spread across four floors and includes bike storage space, a fitness room, leasing office, and resort-style amenities including a pool and courtyard space with multiple fireplaces and grill areas. The fourth floor features a roof terrace with a double-sided gas fireplace and additional lounge seating.

This building consists of approximately 150,000 square feet of wood framed structure, and the open-air breezeways were framed with concrete and structural steel materials. Fite Building Company self-performed approximately 45% of the total contract amount, including concrete, steel, drywall, painting, siding, openings, decorative louvers, balconies, and specialties. There were zero incidents during this project, which is to be celebrated given the impressive quantity of man-hours poured into this job. We are thankful to all our internal and external field personnel for buying into the Fite Safety Program and their shared commitment to excellence.
