Jake Way receives the Rising Star Award

Jake Way received the “Rising Star Award.” This award is presented to a young professional within ABC and celebrates those under 40 in the construction industry. Jake is very deserving of this award and we are proud to have him on our team.

Jake Way started with Fite Building Company as an assistant project manager in 2012 after graduating from Auburn University in Building Science and interning with Fite during the summers. Jake grew up in a construction family. His father, Terrell has been a lead superintendent with Fite for 20 years and his mother, Renee worked for a local plumbing contracting firm. Today, Jake is married and has two daughters. From the start, Jake has never backed down from learning, always stepping up to new challenges and embracing continuing educational opportunities. Jake is one of our leading people in the office operating our project management software, our estimating software and our accounting software. Currently, Jake is a Senior Project Manager and Group Leader. Jake has directly managed some of North Alabama’s signature buildings including The Cook Museum, LogiCore, Jerry Damson Honda, Redstone Gateway 6000 and the USSRC Cyber Space Camp, to name a few. Jake is also a team player with our pre-construction department and has become a go-to coordinator on bid day because he is thorough, organized and cool under pressure. Jake is truly a trusted leader in our company and is a large part of our company’s success.
