About This Project

Fite Building Company is proud to serve as the general contractor for the Aleut Hangar at Pryor Field, a state-of-the-art Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility designed to support both commercial and military aircraft. This $32.7 million capital project is being developed in partnership with Strata-G Solutions, a Huntsville-based, Aleut-owned defense engineering and manufacturing firm, ensuring the facility is built to meet critical mission requirements.

The facility will feature advanced aircraft painting capabilities and accommodate aircraft with wingspans exceeding 130 feet—including up to four CH-47 Chinooks or Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA). The site will also include approximately 346,000 square feet of exterior aircraft parking and tie-down space.

Scheduled for completion in early 2027, the project is expected to create up to 50 aviation-related jobs within the first three years of operation, marking a significant investment in the region’s aerospace infrastructure and workforce.
